iLearn Educational Intervention and Therapy Center, under Bright Light Learning Academy, provides Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy and Educational Therapy services for children in mainstream and with special needs. VISION Ilearn envisions creating a community that fosters acceptance, accommodation, empowerment and equality of individuals with special needs in order to maximize their full potential and become socially relevant individuals. To educate the community especially the family (parents and caregivers) and school about the different conditions afflicting children with special needs and equip them with skills on how to handle an individual with special need. 3. HISTORY Ilearn Educational Intervention and Therapy Center is the first center in Northern Mindanao to offer the Orton-Gillingham Approach in teaching children with reading problems. The Orton-Gillingham approach is a multisensory approach that involves the use of the visual, auditory, kinaesthetic and tactile learning pathways in order to enhance memory and learning. (International Dyslexia Association).It sought to provide not just a genuine application of the approach but also excellence in its service.
